Poker Hand Ranks

	Royal Flush	A straight with all five cards of the same suit which starts from ten and and with the ace.
	Straight Flush	A straight five cards in order with all of the same suit.
	Four of a Kind	Four cards of the same rank, and one side card or "kicker".
	Full House	Three cards of the same rank, and two cards of a different, matching rank.
	Flush	Any five cards of the same suit. The highest card of the five determines the rank of the flush.
	Straight	Five sequential cards not the same suit. The straight with the highest card wins.
	Three of a Kind	Any two cards of the same rank together with another two cards of the same rank.
	One Pair	Two cards of a matching rank, and three unrelated side cards.
	High Card	Any hand that does not qualify under a category listed above.

You will still need to play your hands tactically, and don't forget to observe your opponents, calculate your odds, take notes of the other players in your game. Play your poker hand as the situation dictates to become a long term winner. Texas Hold'em is all about knowing when to fold your pockets cards as well. You might think that the starting hands in poker is all about getting two good cards and winning with them, but that's not the complete game.
