Gameplay & Strategy
Casino Hold’em is bold, refreshing, and wonderfully entertaining!
Served Up Hot – Casino Holdem
Casino Holdem is the proverbial new kid on the block. It is fashioned off the world’s most popular poker variant, Texas Hold’em. The difference between the two games is that Casino Holdem is played against the dealer, not other players. Getting started with this exciting online game is a breeze. But before you get into it, a little history goes a long way. Back in the 1990s, Phil Ivey was trying to teach somebody how to play Texas Hold’em. He developed Casino Hold’em and it spread like wildfire to land-based casinos and online casinos everywhere
Getting started with Casino Holdem is easy. The rules are straightforward and play begins with the placement of an Ante bet. Each of the players will then receive 2 hole cards (facing down) and 3 community cards will be dealt face up in the center of the table. Your goal is to decide whether your hand is worth playing. If you decide to play, you will call, and if you decide to toss in your cards, you will fold. Be advised, that a fold automatically forfeits your Ante wager. If you like the look of your hand, you can choose to play by placing a call bet. This wager is double the Ante bet.
Best Practice for Playing Casino Holdem
The Casino Hold’em dealer will then dish up 2 community cards. Next, the dealer will reveal 1 of the 2 hole cards. Your goal is to form the highest-ranking poker hand using the 5 community cards and your 2 hole cards. Here’s where this game is a little different to traditional Texas Hold’em - the dealer needs a pair of 4s to qualify.
If the dealer doesn’t qualify, your original wager (Ante bet) will be paid out. The call bet then becomes a push. As a player, you stand to lose both the call bet and the Ante bet if the dealer qualifies and wins. The Ante bet pays out according to the paytable and call bets pay out 1:1.
There is another possibility, rare though it may be. The dealer ties with the player. In this case, both the Ante bet and the call bet become push bets. The game is rather easy to learn, and lots of fun to play. A great way to get started is to play Casino Holdem online for free before you pony up and play for real. There are side bets in this game too. This comes in the AA Bonus. If you’re holding a pair of aces or higher after the first 3 community cards have been dealt, you will win. The payouts are pretty extraordinary with a pair of pocket rockets. This game is played with a standard deck of 52 cards and it sports the following payouts:
• Royal Flush – 100:1
• Straight – 20: 1
• 4 of a Kind – 10: 1
• Full House – 3:1
• Flush – 2: One
• Straight – 1: 1
• 3 of a Kind – 1:1
• Two Pair – 1:1
• 1 Pair or Less – 1:1
When it comes to the bonus rounds of play, a Royal Flush pays out 100:1 and a Straight pays out 50:1. Four of a Kind pays 40:1 and a Full House pays 30:1. Since this game is played against the house, the best way to experience this game online is in a live dealer format. Live Casino Holdem is a popular choice at ranking online casinos. Professional dealers are ready to place wagers, deal cards and go head-to-head against players. Fortunately, players can tailor their stakes to their bankrolls and the winning hands pay out well.
